* 18th century Women's rights support
age 3 has a report concerning a dinner of the Officers of the First Philadelphia Regiment of City Militia, at which there were 15 toasts, the last of which is supportive of women's rights: "The Rights of Woman--May our fair country women, have their full share f the blessings we enjoy, and always take that rank in society to which they are entitled." A very early item supportive of women's rights.
The back page has a lottery ad: "For the Improvement of the Federal City" then under construction.
Four pages, never-trimmed margins, great condition.
This was the home of the nation's capital at the time while awaiting the completion of the "federal city" at Washington, D.C., where it would move in 1800.
