The back page includes the always interesting editorial, this one beginning: "Christmas & the Confederate States seem at first to be contradictions in terms. It would scarcely be supposed either by our enemies, who have been gloating over the prospect of our impending starvation..." with much more. Also on the back page: "Reading For Congress" "The Averill Raid" "Latest News From The North" "The Yankee Congress & Its Measures Relating to the War and Peace" "From New Orleans--The Reported 'Terrible Mutiny' at Fort Jackson--Affairs at New Orleans & on the Mississippi" "Terrible Explosion & Fire at Yorktown" and other items.
Complete as a single sheet issue with a full banner masthead, some archival mends to the back pager cause no loss of readability, never bound nor trimmed, generally nice condition.
