THE BETHLEHEM TIMES, Pennsylvania, a four issue set dated December 6, 7, 8 and 9, 1922

* Irish Free State established 
* Ireland becomes independent


This set reports the Independence of Ireland, then the following two days of bloody battles, and then the triumphant mention of the: "Prominent Figures in Irish Politics".
Front page heads, respectively: "Ireland Takes Her Place Today Among The Word's Commonwealths" with more; "Two Members of the New Irish Parliament Shot This Morning" with more; "Four Irish Leaders Executed In City of Dublin This Morning"; and then finally: 'Prominent Figures in Irish Politics" with photos of William Yeats, Early of Dunraven, and Lord Decies.
Each issue is complete, binding slits at the blank spine, light toning, generally in good condition.
