March 19, 1863

DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER, Virginia, March 19, 1863

* From the capital of the Confederacy
* Confederate General J. E. B. Stuart

The front page has some nice war-related content including items: "From Fredericksburg" "From Fredericksburg--The Ball Opened--The Enemy Cross The River, But Are Driven Back With Great Loss" which has much details and also includes three dispatches, each signed in type: J.E.B. Stuart; "The Currency Act" "Additional From the North" "A Great Yankee Swindle" and more. The back page has over a column taken up with editorial comments on the war--always interesting reading from this newspaper. There is also report headed: "The Confederate Congress" as well as: "Virginia Legislature". There are also small items including: "Exchange of Prisoners" "Arrest of Deserters" "Desperate Shooting Case by a Soldier" and more.
A single sheet issue with a full banner masthead, minor wear at the several folds, some browning and light staining, but otherwise in good condition.
