THE LONDON MAGAZINE, England, October, 1778

* re. Burgoyne's surrender at Saratoga
* American Revolutionary War

At the back are several pages headed: "American Affairs" which includes several documents from British commissioners to the American Congress concerning the detaining of captured soldier's from General Burgoyne's army following the surrender at Saratoga. Photos show portions of the 3 page report.
Lacking both of the plates called for.
Complete in 48 pages, full title/contents page, 5 by 8 inches, a bit of very minor margin chipping, very nice condition.

Formatted very much like the Gentleman's Magazine but a much more scarce title. The title/contents page features a great engraving of the skyline of London.
