Pages 3 and 4 contains much news concerning the war in America including: "...We are in daily expectation of a visit from 7000 New England forces on their march to this place...that General Howe had drawn all the forces off Long Island to New York to protect that city. The King's army have evacuated all Jersey north of Amboy..." with more as seen in the photos.
The back page has: "Advices from America" with some great and quite detailed accounts of the events in New Jersey as seen in the photos. Included is: "Since the news arrived that the Congress of America had chosen and declared General Washington Lord Protector, etc. of the United States of America, some of the warmest friends of the subjugation of America begin to say, 'they fear that America is lost; that the conquest of it is chimerical--almost visionary.'...".
Page 3 contains the lengthy confession of John the Painter, signed by him in type: James Aitken.
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, red tax stamp on page 3, nice condition.
