The back page has a great letter headed: "London" which is very critical on the Revolutionary War. It includes: "The defeat of General Prevost is the 'ne plus ultra' of the American war. We can carry it on no longer; there is no hope of success. If Sir Henry Clinton & Adm. Arbuthnot can preserve New York, Rhode Island and Halifax, that will be as much as the can do...The conduct of the present corrupt, ignorant, and plundering Ministers in keeping a number of hired writers in their pay to varnish over their villainies...".
Four pages, folio size, never-trimmed margins, red tax stamp on the front page, nice condition.
