The front page of section 2 (sports) has a banner headline: "YANKEES WIN SERIES; MacPHAIL RETIRES" with subheads, related photos and box scores. Another related photo on the back page. This was the first World Series to include an African-American in Jackie Robinson.
Complete with 48 pages, light toning at the margins, small library stamp within the masthead, small binding holes along the spine, generally very nice.
