October 26, 1958

THE AMERICAN WEEKLY (magazine), from The Times-Picayune, New Orleans, October 26, 1958

* A great Halloween cover
* Ellery Queen begins a new crime series...

Featured on the cover is: "TRICK OR TREAT," which is a playful color cover showing trick-or-treaters "hiding" behind a pick porch railing holding the leash of their dog with a bag ready to receive candy as if the dog is a costumed trick-or-treater. Very cute and displayable. Inside has a double page centerfold print suitable for any Ellery Queen fan. This accompanies "Two Routes to Murder," which is the 1st installment of his new new crime series, "MASTERPIECES OF CRIME DETECTION.", Other period prints and advertising is found throughout. See images for details.
The complete 24 page magazine, scattered rubbing, overall good.
