November 26, 1937

CHICAGO DAILY TRIBUNE, Nov. 26, 1937

* Last major train robbery in the U.S.
* Deming, Luna County, New Mexico
* Henry Loftus and Harry Donaldson

You might call it the official end of the "Wild West", but in any case the great banner headline on the front page announces what is considered the last major train robbery in the country: "ROB TRAIN, KILL 1; CAPTURED" with subheads that include: "BOGUS COWBOYS ARE BEATEN IN WILD WEST RAID" and more. This happened near Deming, New Mexico, nice for display. First report coverage continues on page 2 with a related map. Three photos on the back page.
Complete with all 26 pages, this is the "rag edition" printed on very high quality newsprint meant for the requirements of institutional holdings consequently in great condition. Four small binding holes at the blank spine.
