* Chicago White Sox
* Black Sox scandal
* 1919 World Series vs. Red
The ftpg. has one column heads, a portion of which refers to the infamous "Black Sox" scandal: "Brooklyn Players Questioned Today" "But District Attorney Withholds Evidence--White Sox Players on Stand at Chicago".
The first report concerns an investigation that members of the Brooklyn team had plans to "fix" the coming 1920 World Series. The report on the Chicago White Sox begins: "New evidence which may warrant criminal prosecution of the baseball players involved in the "fixing" of the 1919 world series was expected by the grand jury today...believed more players were ready to tell what they know...". This report carries over to page 8.
Complete in 16 pages, some foxing to the ftg., small binding holes at the blank spine, generally nice.
