Printed within the dateline is: "Confederate States of America", found on just a few newspapers from the Confederacy. The front page has: "From Mississippi" "Latest Northern News--Movements of Banks' Forces" & more. Page 2 has: "Official Orders" which is a rousing call to arms from Beauregard, including: "...Carolinians and Georgians! the hour is at hand to prove your devotion to your country's cause! Let all able-bodied men from the seaboard to the mountains rush to arms!...To arms, fellow citizens! Come to share with us our dangers, our brilliant success, or our glorious death." signed in type: G. T. Beauregard.
