The front page has a three column headline: "Report Israel Is Invaded" with subheads: "Haganah Says Move Follows Plane Attack" and "Say Tel Aviv Twice Hit By Light Planes," which continues on an inside page. Another related article on page 4 under the heading, "Embargo," has the mention that the United States is to quickly recognize the New Jewish State of Israel (see images). Other news of the day is found throughout.
Complete in 8 pages, a little spine wear with small piece torn off at the bottom left corner which does not come close to impacting the key content, with a bit of old mildewing. Although the key content is in very good condition, the stated condition issues enable us to offer this issue at a significant discount.
Note: Although this issue states the U.S. would be quick to recognize Israeli Statehood, and they did so de facto to May 14, 1948, their de jure recognition did not come until January 31, 1949, making them the 20th country to do so.
