Most of the ftpg. is taken up with: "A Proclamation" by the President, signed in type: James Madison, for a "...day of Public Humiliation and Prayer...and the eyes of all be turned to that Almighty Power in whose hand are the welfare and the destiny of nations..." regarding the struggles of the War of 1812. Over half of page 2 is taken up with a lengthy list of impressed seaman aboard the British prison ship San Antonio.
Nearly six pages are taken up with many reports headed: "Events of the War". Included are various letters from military commanders, one from "head of Lake Ontario, Upper Canada" and 3 letters from Fort George, plus: "Blockade of the Delaware" & "Blockade of the Chesapeake" and more.
Sixteen pages, 6 by 9 3/4 inches, very nice condition.

As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
