December 01, 1929

THE NEW YORK TIMES, December 1, 1929.

* Notre Dame - Army 1929 Football game
* Jack Elder 100-yd Interception TD run
* Yankee Stadium (1st report w/ photos)

This 100+ page Sunday newspaper has one column headings on the front page of the sport's section (inside, near back) that include: "NOTRE DAME DEFEATS ARMY, 7-0, AS ELDER MAKES 96-YARD RUN" "85,000 See Fleet Back Intercept Pass for Touchdown on Frozen Stadium Field" and more with related photos. Also a nice banner headline on page 3 of the sport's section that reads: "Notre Dame Defeats Army, 7 to 0, Before 80,000 as Elder Makes 96-Yard Run" with many subheads, another related photo and stats. Loads of text here, too much to photograph all.
Other news, sports and advertisements of the day throughout. Rag edition, a little spine wear, minor creasing, otherwise nice condition.
