Page 15 has an: "Extract of a Letter from Governor Harrison to the Secretary of War, dated Head-Quarters near the Prophet's town, No. 8th, 1811", a letter signed in type: Wm. Henry Harrison. The letter describes the battle of Tippecanoe beginning with: "...the dawn of yesterday terminated any action between the troops under my command, and the whole of the Prophet's force..." with further details about the false suspension of hostilities and the surprise attack by the Indians.
Near the front are nearly 5 pages taken up with: "Geography---Louisiana" which is very descriptive of the territory, which would become a state within 5 months.
Sixteen pages, 6 1/4 by 10 inches, very nice condition.
