NILES' WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Aug. 17, 1816 One of the better articles in this issue is headed: "Description of the Province of Cohauilia, the New Kingdom of Leon, New Santander, and Texas" which is: "Collected from the memorial of Don M. B. de Arispe". The portion which describes Texas takes about a full page.
Also included is a full page article: "Constitution of Indiana--Adopted in convention at Corydon on the 29th day of June, 1816..." which contains all of Article I, and a bit of Article II concluding with: "The remainder of the constitution defines the powers, etc. of the three branches of the government."
Complete in 16 pages, 6 1/4 by 9 1/2 inches, even toning, otherwise in very good condition.
As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
