February 28, 1942

THE STAR, Guernsey, Channel Islands, Feb. 28, 1942

* Rare German occupation title
* World War II - WWII

Among the front page reports are: "Vulnerability of the British Empire" "Navy Unable to Cope with Present Day Warfare" "Why The Axis Will Win This War" which is a fascinating article, beginning: "Germany and her valiant allies will incontestably win this war because they know how to fight for a just cause, struggling for the existence of their threatened countries, for Christ and for humanity...The cold wickedness of the English, the diabolical thirst for vengeance of the all-powerful Jews of London and Washington, as well as the cruel & perverse sadism of the Russians..." and much more.
Four pages, 12 by 16 inches, very nice condition.

This newspaper was published on this island in the English Channel and was occupied by the Germans during most of WWII, from July 1, 1940 through May 9, 1945. During the Nazi occupation they took over this newspaper and filled it with pro-German propaganda, offering a unique insight into how the Axis reported the news during the war.
