THE MORNING POST & DAILY ADVERTISER, London, March 9, 1791 Page 3 has an item including: "All the convicts...on board the vessels at Gravesend, have been stripped of their cloathing, the heads of both men & women being closely shaved, they are furnished with woolen caps..." Also a report on: "...was a very desperate battle between two inferior disciples of the Mendoza School in Tothill Fields...after a contest of 20 minutes...one of the combatants was carried off by his party in a state of perfect insensibility..." with more. This is concerning Daniel Mendoza, the famous Jewish boxer (see hyperlink).
Four pages, red tax stamp on page 3, very nice condition.
