Also one column headlines on page 30: "GOMEZ WINS NO. 18 FOR YANKS, 5 TO 2" "Gehrig Smashes A Homer" and more. This was ailing Lou Gehrig's last home run before retiring early due to his illness.
There is also reporting on Hank Greenberg hitting his 57th and 58th home run for the season.
