September 16, 1880

DAILY JOURNAL, Evansville, Indiana, September 16, 1880

* Robertson County, Tennessee
* Negroes lynchings (1st report)

The front page has an article headed: "'Quiet And Orderly'" "Is the Way Tennessee Lynchers do Their Work" "Wholesale Hanging Of Negro Murderers At Saddlersville, KY." See images for text here.
This issue is not fragile as newsprint back then was made of cotton and linen rags, allowing them to remain very pliable and easy to handle. Complete in 4 pages, a little margin wear, generally good.
