June 09, 1849

NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., June 9, 1849  While this issue has a wealth of Gold Rush and Westward Expansion to include "The Travel Over The Western Plains" (page 1), "From San Francisco" (page 3), "Virginia Gold Mines" (page 3), and two articles covering the Washington Monument (see images), perhaps the most interesting item is the lengthy report on New York's Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn, which is among the most renowned "resting places" in the United States.
Complete in 8 pages and is in very good condition.
