October 06, 1860

LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED NEWSPAPER, New York, Oct. 6, 1860  The prime print would be the very nice doublepage centerfold which has 14 horse racing-themed prints, the feature print titled: "Planet Passing the Judge's Stand" showing the horse's gait before the invention of photography and they realized how horse galloped (see). There are 8 other horse around the perimeter, with the bottom row showing 5 other racing-themed prints. A terrific & displayable print for any horse fan.
Other prints in this issue include: "Camp Boone--The Kentucky State Guard's First Encampment on the Fair Grounds, Louisville, Ky." "Undercliff, the Residence of Gen. George Morris at Cold Spring on the Hudson River", and other prints.
Sixteen pages, never bound nor trimmed so it folds out to one large sheet, very nice, clean condition.
