Rare Civil War-era newspaper lasted just 15 issues...

* Rare Civil War title

A very uncommon title which lasted for only 15 issues, this being issue #9. Over half of the issue is taken up with ads, with some news items: "A Soldier's Penmanship" "Then and Now" and much more. Page 4 has an item: "Jeff. Davis has won a new title to infamous immortality, by his butcheries of white and black Union soldiers at Fort Pillow and Plymouth, after surrender. He is now Jeff. Davis, the parricide and butcher!..." and more (see photos).
The back page has a large illustration of the: "Ground Plan Of Fair Tables".
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, 11 1/2 by 16 1/2 inches, minor spine wear, nice condition.
