The Eskimos described... Rochester Castle...
Item # 589348 SUPPLEMENT TO THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, 1772
* Rochester Castle at Kent, South East England print
This is the end of year "supplemental" issue to this famous title, containing on the front page the title with date, plus the list of the contents which includes: "Description...of the Esquimaux [Eskimo] Indians..." which is very descriptive of them and takes over a full page. Also in the issue are: "An Historical Account of a Late Revolution in France" "Account of the Revenues of Bengal" "...Uncommon Diseases of the Ear" "Mode of Raising & Paying the Church-Money in America" and more.
Included is a nice full page plate of "Rochester Castle", actually called for in the December issue but included here as the descriptive article is in the supplement: "Description of Rochester Castle". Lacking is the foldout plate of a canal.
Complete in 28 pages, 5 by 8 1/4 inches, nice condition.
