Page 4 has a report headed: "The Ford Brothers" datelined from St. Joseph, Mo., noting: "The grand jury to-day found an indictment for murder in the first degree against the Ford brothers, who killed Jesse James...brought into court and pleaded guilty and were sentenced to be hanged on May 9th." (see image). This is followed by a report noting: "...that Governor Crittenden has granted an unconditional pardon for the Ford brothers who this afternoon pleaded guilty to having killed Jesse James..." (see image).
Eight pages, never bound nor trimmed, some wear at the folds.
