THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, Dec. 3, 1778 The entire front page, page 2, and most of page 3 are taken up with American content, including letters signed in type by: H. Clinton, and Cornwallis with letters from New York, Little Egg Harbour and New Bridge. Several of much on troop movements in New Jersey with mention of Washington, including: "...Mr. Washington could not assemble that of the rebels in ten days to have done it in Jersey, he must have quitted his mountains & risked a general action in a country little favorable to him...General Washington did not seem to shew the least disposition to assemble his army & the militia kept at a distance..." with so much more (see for portions). Much focuses on the privateering work around Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, where a battle ensured in October, 1778, involving Pulaski.
Eight pages, 8 1/4 by 11 inches, very nice, clean condition.
