SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN, New York, October 1, 1892. This issue has a full front page print showing 'GERMAN MILITARY BALLOON APPARATUS' and an internal article. Another article describes how armies would use these balloons to place soldiers into the middle of the battle quickly. The article and print detail the "ENGLISH 'SIMPLEX' TYPEWRITER". This new design of typewriter was small, compact and very inexpensive. A real discovery for the day. Other articles include: The Tivoli (Italy) Central Station; The Pipa Americana; Haku; and others and advertisements.
