May 05, 1931
THE NEW YORK TIMES, May 5, 1931 This 56 page newspaper has a four column headline on page 35: "Senators Subdue Revamped Yankees, 7-3" with subheads that include: "Yield by 7-3, With Crippled Ruth on First and Gehrig in Right, Before 20,000" and more.
Tells of Babe Ruth being moved to 1st base in an effort to put less strain on the aging player's leg. Lou Gehrig was moved to right field. Great to have in this NYC title.
Other news of the day throughout. Light browning with minor spine wear, otherwise in good condition.
