THE CIRCULAR, Oneida NY, October 17, 1870 This issue contains a very brief report on the death of General Robert E. Lee. Although a small report, it is still a 1st report which is located on the last page of the issue.  This is a small size newspaper from the famous Oneida Community in New York, an early "commune" in experimental living. Various religiously-themed content but a bit of reporting of news of the day as well. An interesting title from this interesting community in in upstate New York. Complete in 8 pages measuring approximately 14x10 inches and is in nice condition.
