NEW YORK TRIBUNE, July 14, 1865  The first column on the ftpg. has the dramatic news of the day: "GREAT CONFLAGRATION" "Barnum's Museum In Ashes" "Twenty Other Buildings Partially Destroyed" "History of the Museum" "Carnival of Slaughter" "Frightful Combats of the Beasts" "Lions, Tigers, Whales & Boa Constrictors Perishing in the Flames" "Eccentricities of Blazing Monkeys" and more (see). The entire ftpg. is taken up with details of the burning of Barnum's Museum.
