THE WORLD, New York, July 14, 1865 The entire front page and some of the bkpg. are taken up with detailed & dramatic reports of the burning of Phineas T. Barnum's museum, with first column heads including: "A MEMORABLE FIRE" "Burning of Barnum's Museum Yesterday" "All the Human Notorities Rescued by the Firemen" and more (see photos). A lengthy list of destroyed exhibits is curiously printed in an hourglass configuration (see photos). Complete in 8 pgs., never bound nor trimmed,some minor rubbing to ftpg. folds. Small piece from the bottom, blank margin.
