MASSACHUSETTS SPY, Worcester, Aug. 27, 1823 Pg. 3 has a brief report from a Utica paper stating that 44 boats arrived there last week through the Erie canal with details about the various cargo transported by the boats, including 3050 gallons of whiskey.
