EUREKA DAILY SENTINEL, Eureka, Nevada, 1878 A very nice, folio-size newspaper from this small, remote  town in northeastern Nevada. This old mining town is situated in the mountains at a 6,500 ft. elevation in a county with just 3 towns--total county population today is just 1900 residents. In its hayday when mining was the predominate draw from the mid-1870's until the shutting down of most  mines by 1891, the town had a population of 9000. Newspapers from such short-lived boom towns are quite scarce as they had short lives as well. Here is an issue from 1878 when mining was nearing its peak, with the ftpg. & bkpg. full of ads--most with a truly western flavor--and various news of the day on the inside pages. Complete in 4 pgs., never bound nor trimmed and in nice condition with some light browning & minor margin wear. The photo below is "generic" however the issue you receive will have a similar look and will be dated in 1878.
