York England... Red ink tax stamp...
Item # 207992 THE YORK CHRONICLE, England, 1787 A nice folio-size, four page newspaper and somewhat uncommon from this British town in the 1700's, filled with varoius news of the day and ads as well. The front page includes a red-inked tax stamp.
This issue was never bound nor trimmed, has some rubbing at the folds and browning scattered throughout. A nice 18th century title we've never had the pleasure to offer before.
