HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, August 22, 1908  The front page of this issue has an illustration by W. A. Rogers called "A Campaign Contribution From the Carolinas."

This issue has an article and photos of "The Disaster in the North West" plus photos of "When Royalty Goes Yachting"; "The Winner of the New York to Paris Race"; "Studies in 'Make-up'"; Hawaii's Welcome to the Fleet" and "England's Successful War Balloon." There is also a full page illustration by Campbell Cory called "A Difficult Subject for the Hypnotist" and an illustration of "Your Hostess Introduces You to the Girl with Whom You Tried to Flirt on the Train" plus the third comic in Grill's "The White House Boys, Bill and Jack."

Other advertisements of the day are included as well, helping to portray life at the turn of the century.
