HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, January 1, 1898  Front page has a full page illustration by W. A. Rogers called "Plenty of Work for the New Year". There is a page with 5 photos and an article on "England's Little War in India".
There is a very nice full page illustration by A. B. Frost titled "Ruffed-Grouse Shooting--An Open Shot". The double page centerfold is an illustration of "Raising the First American Flag, January 1, 1776" by Clyde O. DeLand. There is also a full page of photos of "On the Way to the Klondike" and another page with paintings "From the Stewart Collection".
Other news, articles, short stories and advertisements of the day are included. This issue is complete in 24 pages.
