HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, April 24, 1875 The full front page has: "A Few Sketches" by Thomas Nast concerning Governor Tilden "Attacking the Canal Ring Pirates".
Perhaps the most notable print is the very notable Civil Rights Nast engraving headed: "To Thine Own Self Be True" which shows the hand of Columbia handing over the Civil Rights Bill to an African-American. The same page has a Nast engraving: "A Privilege?" showing a woman speaking to her drunken husband in a segregated bar.
Other prints include: "The Flower Girl", a nice doublepage centerfold: "A Skating Rink" showing many roller skating; a full page: "Cotton Culture--Covering in the Seed" showing African-Americans working in the fields; "Taking the Skipper on Board Ship--Leaving Home on His Last Voyage".
Complete in sixteen pages.
