A full page illustration of "Burial of Mr. Peabody's Remains in Harmony Grove Cemetery." A third-page illustration of "The New Lincoln Statue for Union Square, New York." (Abraham Lincoln). A full page illustration of "The Pardoned Sentinel" (Soldiers) and the related story of Soldier William Scott that was pardoned by Abraham Lincoln just before his scheduled execution. A full page illustration of "Paraguayan Mother Bearing Her Dead Child to the Grave". Full page illustration including three one-third page illustrations pertaining to "Our Common Schools as They are and as They May Be" by Thomas Nast and also six small illustrations pertaining to "Our Common Schools."  Political satire by Thomas Nast.
Complete in 16 pages and contains prints and related text.
