HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, May 16, 1868 The front page contains a quarter-page illustration of "George Sands, President of the National Base-Ball Association" with an article headed "The Base-Ball President". Also on the front cover is a half-page illustration entitled " 'See-Saw'--An Illustration for the Juveniles" which shows children see-sawing on a plank over a log.
Inside contains a full page illustration from the "General Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Chicago" with a related article; a very displayable "May Day in the Country" celebrating the event; a full page "I Can Not Sing the Old Songs" shows a sad lady standing at the piano; a full page which includes two half-page illustrations titled "Street Auction Scene in New York City" and "Wreck of the American Ship 'General Grant' on Auckland Islands, May 14, 1866"; a half-page illustration shows the "Ruins of the Ohio Female College at College Hill, near Cincinnati, Ohio".
Complete in 16 pages and contains prints and related text.
