HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, Sept. 2, 1865 The front page shows: "Collision on the Housatonic Railroad near Bridgeport, Connecticut" and: "Housatonic Railroad Slaughter--House to Which the Wounded Were Conveyed".
Inside has an interesting full page: "Wall Street & Broadway--Ways of Getting & Spending Money" showing many vignettes. Also within is a large portrait of "William Cullen Bryant", a displayable doublepage centerfold: 'Newly-Arrived Emigrants at Castle Garden, New York City" (small binding holes are common) showing crowds of immigrants in several vignettes. Also prints of: "Francois Jean Joseph, the Rebel President" of Hayti; "Fabre Geffrard, President of Hayti" "Rear-Admiral Francis H. Gregory" "Hon. Preston King" "Monument to General Buford at West Point" "Accident on Mount Cervin, Among the Italian Alps" "Votarties of the God Vaudoux (Snake Worshipers) Executed for the Crime of Cannibalism at Hayti".
The back page has a cartoon: "How the Cable Was Broken". Complete in 16 pages.
