Nast centerfold focuses on recovering from the Civil War...

HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, July 8, 1865  The full front page is a print: "Peace--Fourth of July, 1865" showing an angelic figure over returning soldiers. Prints within include a full page with 6 images concerning: "The Wreck of the 'Golden Rule' - Scenes Upon The Island El Roncador". Also: "Luther C. Ladd" "Addison O. Whitney" "Dedication of the Monument in Memory of Ladd & Whitney, Lowell, Massachusetts"; a full page of the: "Ruins In the Heart of Charleston--View from King Street"; half pages: "Paroled Rebel Prisoners at the Battery" and "Exterior View of the Cells in Which the Conspirators are Confined in the Old Penitentiary at Washington".
The doublepage centerfold is a very nice Thomas Nast print with  8 vignettes titled: "Peace On Earth and Good Will Towards Men -- The Fourth of July, Eighteen Hundred and Sixty-Five".
The back page has a cartoon: "From Mr. John Mitchel's Letter to Hon. Ben Wood, June 14, 1865". Complete in 16 pages.
