HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, Sept. 14, 1861  The front page has: "Bombardment of Forts Hatteras & Clark by the U.S. Fleet under Flag Officer Stringham" and prints of: "Flag Officer Stringham" and "Major-General Butler".  Inside pages include: "Brig. Gen. Rosecrans, U.S.A., Commanding U.S. Forces in Western Virginia" "Rebel Prisoners Leaving Baltimore for Fortress Monroe", also a full page of: "The Naval Battery (Rebel) At Manassas Junction".
Additional prints include: "The Ohio Levee at Cairo" "Arrival of the 22nd Indiana Volunteers, Col. J. C. Davis at St Louis, Missouri" "Aqueduct of the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal at the Mouth of the Monocacy" & "A Southern Family flying North to Escape the Rebel Banditti" showing various slaves as well. 
The doublepage centerfold showing: "Departure of the Great Southern Expedition Under General Butler, From Fortress Monroe". Other prints include: "The Political Prison  at Washington, Corner First & A Streets" "The U.S. Marines & Marine Barracks at Washington", a full page with 4 scenes of: "West Point Foundry--Cold Spring", and a half page prints of: "Col. Tyler's Camp, Near Summersville, Va..." "Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Occupied by Illinois Volunteers".
The back page has two political cartoons. Complete in 16 pages.
