Roger Bresnahan debuts as a pitcher...? Louis Vuitton advertisement...

Item # 150988

August 28, 1897

NEW-YORK DAILY TRIBUNE, Aug. 28, 1897 "Washington, 3; St. Louis, 0" on pg. 3 includes a brief summary of the game, beginning with: "St. Louis was shut out to-day in a well-played game, Bresnahan, a new man, being on the rubber for the Senators...". Has the line score of the game too. Bresnahan, of course, is a Hall of Fame catcher.
Also on the same page is a Louis Vuitton advertisement.
This is complete, browned a bit, more so at the edges, and should be handled with care.
