Niles Register was a very famous, small-size newspaper which excellent political reporting--not surprising given its proximity to Washington, D.C.--in addition to carrying a wealth of news events from across the country. It published from 1811 thru 1850.

The bottom of page 3 has a small & somewhat inconspicuous article headed: "Jesse James Indicted" which begins: "The grand jury yesterday returned indictments against Jesse James, son of the noted outlaw..." (see). The following year he would be acquitted of robbery of a Missouri Pacific train.
Four pages, margin toning, very nice condition, should be handled carefully.
