THE LIBERATOR, Boston, May 17, 1861  This is the famous anti-slavery newspaper by famed abolitionist publisher William Lloyd Garrison. The masthead features two engravings, one of a slave auction and the other showing slaves being emancipated.
Among the articles: "Satanic Spirit Of The South" "Slave Insurrections" "The South & Her Allies" is mostly a poem; "Protest--Slave Refugees in Florida" "Repressing Slave Insurrections" "War Intelligence" "Gross Indignities From the Rebels" "What We Are Fighting For" "War or No War" and more.
Four pages, rejoined at the spine, good condition.
