THE REPERTORY & GENERAL ADVERTISER, Boston, Massachusetts, August 6, 1811 On page 2 under the "Died" information was the announcement of the death of Richard Bache. "...Mr. Bach was a native of England, he came in his youth to America, and marrying Sarah, the only daughter of Dr. Franklin, he has been known to Pennsylvania as an inhabitant, a merchant and a patriot, for more than fifty years... died without reproach, time has, at length, added the name of Richard Bache."
