"...Mr. Bach was a native of England, he came in his youth to America, and marrying Sarah, the only daughter of Dr. Franklin, he has been known to Pennsylvania as an inhabitant, a merchant and a patriot, for more than fifty years... died without reproach, time has, at length, added the name of Richard Bache."
