SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN, New York, October 28, 1911  The front page is a full illustration entitled "Dropping Bombs From Flying Machines" which shows an early plane and one of the crew operating a small telescope to determine the parabolic curve for dropping a bomb. This has a related report inside.
Within the issue is: "A New System of Gathering Turpentine"; "Two New Bleriot Monoplanes"; and more articles, illustrations and advertisements.
