* Nat Turner's slave rebellion - revolt
The front page has: "Negro Insurrection" which is a report concerning the Nat Turner Rebellion, noting in part: "...The whole of the insurgents had been either killed or captured, except the leader by the name of Nat turner, who was a pretended Baptist preacher & impiously represented to his comrades that he was commissioned by Jesus Christ...that the late singular appearance of the sun was the sign for him to commence his bloody work..." with more (see).
