April 16, 1912
ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, Minnesota, April 16, 1912  The front page features a very dramatic two line banner headline: "OVER 1,200 LIVES PROBABLY LOST WHEN MAMMOTH STEAMER TITANIC IS SUNK" with many subheads as well, a few of which include: "Liner in Collision With Iceberg Off New Foundland Banks Sinks Before Vessels Hurry to Rescue Arrive" "Find Boats Containing Only 866" "Remainder of Passengers and Crew Evidently Went Down to Bottom of Atlantic With Ill-Fated Craft" "Sea Covered With Wreckage At Scene" "Group of Men Worth $500,000,000 On Titanic" "Official Concedes Hundreds Drowned" and much more.
The front page also features a nice photo captioned: "The Titanic, Largest Vessel Ever Built, Was Sunk On Her Maiden Trip" as well as a photo of "Captain E. J. Smith" with a related article: "Career Of Commander of Ill-Fated Vessel" and more.
There are related articles inside as well including several photos showing the elegance of the interior of the Titanic.
A very dramatic front page presentation which includes photos of both the Titanic and its captain. Complete in 14 pages, various light foxing & staining, a small piece from near the top affecting the "0" in the headline (see), a few archival mends on page 2.
